Epaulet Salt Washed Slim Fit Oxfords

Epaulet is one of my favorite stops on the Internet.  Their style is spot on: updated basics in some of the best fabrics in the world.  Their collaborations never miss.  This is one of those stores were you can outfit an entire wardrobe.

They recently released their salt-washed slim fit oxfords, and the price point is just right: $95 a pop.  Considering the quality and the fit, it’s a great value.

Cut and sewn in downtown Los Angeles, the EPLA Buttondowns are made out of long-staple American supima oxford cloth. Once assembled, the shirts are run through a light enzyme wash and then a salt bath, to give them an extremely soft hand, without leaving them looking distressed or worn in.

Additional details include a compact buttondown collar, flat felled shoulder seams, single chest pocket, and antique resin or tortoiseshell buttons (depending on the shirt’s color).

These are a great example of buying your basics the right way.  You may spend a little more, but how often do you wear a solid oxford?  For me, it’s over 50% of the time, so I’m not going to skimp on such important rotation pieces.  You should do the same.
