Zippo Restoration

I could literally watch this stuff all day. It’s amazing.  I found this video from World Restorations where they performed some absolute magic on this Vietnam-era Zippo lighter.  Goes to show that quality made items last forever…even if they hibernate in the dirt for a couple of decades…  Enjoy:

You do not see many people carry around lighters anymore. Smoking is frowned upon by most. I really could care less if someone smokes or not. I smoke a cigar on weekends – yes, I know its not the same as a cigarette. I have two Zippos I rotate to carry in my truck or pocket : I have a brass one and a copper one. Both are awesome, real, and quite timeless. I have a 24k gold Dunhill that was passed down to me. It is mint and I really am afraid to use it because it is almost a piece of art in its own.

Maybe it’s because I’m about to turn 43 and I wish someone could restore me as well as they did that lighter, but that video is just fascinating!
