The Motherload of Estate Sales

Red Clay Soul Tumblr followers saw my hauls from a recent Estate Sale in a nicer part of town. It was the first estate sale I’ve ever visited, and I think the bar has been set way too high. Rumor was the guy moved, but considering what he left behind, he decided not to pack. There was high end furniture everywhere, but his closet is where I struck gold. A few pre-sale closet shots from the ad:
Some statistics:
The stuff was in perfect condition. 20% had the tags still attached.
80% was Polo. 50% of that was Purple Label.
90% of the sweaters in the middle picture were Purple Label cashmere.
The rest was Faconnable, Zegna, and Burberry

Here are some iPhone shots:

And here are my hauls (yeah, I went back for more):

Day One:

I particularly like this Coach Hamilton Tank watch. I’ve been looking for one of these to ride a strap:

Day Two:

I didn’t leave Mrs. Red Clay Soul out either – this Bolier side table made it back to our house (at about 85% off retail). She loves it:
Regrets? Yep – I wish I would have grabbed this Jack Spade duffle bag. It was $126 ($180 – 30%):

Oh well, next time. Wait…

I picked up a pair of those Faconnable khakis in a mushroomish color from a local Goodwill. Very similar quality construction to Bill's. Seam ripper took care of the orange label easy enough too. Enjoy that haul.

Wow, that's incredible. Wish I had that guy's clothing budget. It's great you were able to give some of it a good new home.
