On the List: The Ledbury Shirt-Jac

The folks over at Ledbury have been doing their Sunday Shirting for the last year or so, which is a great way for them to offer small batch pieces to the masses.  You have to sign up to see them (plug…), but it’s worth it.  Last Sunday they released the Renwick Shirt Jacket, and it’s by far my favorite piece they’ve offered.

First off, it’s camo.  I really like incorporating camo into my rotation, especially pieces that fit REALLY well.  It makes me look like I know what I’m doing.  Ledbury’s slim fits work very well for me.  Second, it’s a shirt-jacket, like the old GI coats.  It is meant to be worn untucked, and has two front pockets like a chore coat.  The fabric is a heavier jacquard cotton with tortoise buttons (a nice touch).  The Renwick is finished off with an Alden spread collar to give it a finished look.

Pair this with a crisp white oxford, a good pair of jeans, and some suede boots…give ’em the business…

I just don’t understand the jacket part. Sure it has chore coat pockets but its just a shirt with pockets. A shirt jac is suppose to be warmer in my opinion.
