Miller Brothers: Spring 2019

The color palettes are lighter, and so is the fabric.  Spring has arrived, and the stores are turning over their merchandise to accommodate the coming seasons.  I always like this time of year, as it gives my ankles a little time to breathe.  Miller Brothers just finished their round, and the store looks great.  This year you’ll see a lot of lighter jackets, structured (and unstructured) loafers – with plenty of bits, and cool accessories that are a nice break from the traditional fare.  They were nice enough to have me down and shoot a few pictures…here are the goods:

I always enjoy your posts on the “local” shops, such as Sid Mashburn and Miller Bros.  Miller Bros is a great store with many unique items that cannot be found anywhere else in town.  It was your blog that introduced me to the store a few years back and I want to get behind them badly, but just can’t.  I was just at MB last week and the vast majority of their sport coats are fused; while fusing/canvas isn’t a deal-breaker in its own right, MB’s price point it is.
For my money, H. Stockton and offers a far better value proposition on the business casual (i.e. sportcoat and dress trousers) side and I would love to see you give them more air time.  I think HS gets branded as a stodgier, more formal shop; to some extent, this is deserved as each of their stores has a different vibe.  They, too, have unique brands unavailable elsewhere in town and have a much broader offering, in my opinion (granted they have 4 stores to MB’s one).  Top to bottom, I don’t think it’s quite as casual or trendy as MB or Sid, just wish you’d show them some love!
Thanks again for shining a light on these independent men’s stores…Atlanta has so many great options and I think we can all agree that we want to see these stores to stick around!
