High Five: March 6th, 2020

Lots of new stuff hitting the market these days, folks.  I feel like we are all finally coming out of our “winter” hibernation, so let’s start paying attention.  Here are five things that have my attention as of March 6th, 2020:

Spring Instagram Teasers from Martin Dingman: I love it.  They do a great job of product development, including the teasers.  How great to these drivers look?  Pretty pumped…

Camo Retro:  An online community that combines two of my favorite things:  Vintage camo, and vintage hunting gear.  This place is a goldmine, and they are just getting off the ground.

The King Vest from Holderness & Bourne: I’ve been wearing this for about a month, and am completely obsessed with it.  It is lighter than any vest on the market, the fit is spot on, and the shade of blue is just right.  More to come on this bad boy, but I’d recommend pulling the trigger before they sell out.

Grateful Dead, 2/27/90 in Oakland:  Of course I Spotify the hell out of the Dead, but don’t sleep on YouTube.  There are quite a few of their shows for free.  I’ve really been into the 80’s/Mydland Dead recently, and this gem from Oakland is worth a play.  Here’s the first set, and here’s the second.  Thank me later.

Aftco Fishing Shorts:  I apologize to Aftco.  I tried a bunch of other fishing shorts, and I’m coming back home.  You absolutely can’t beat these shorts.  They’ve kept the same design forever…because it works.

What’s got your attention these days?

The new performance shorts from Duck Head are gold. I expect they’re very SA resistant. Check them out!

The Internet Archive app is another great place to go deep into the Dead’s live catalog

Use Relisten if you have an iPhone to get access to the Grateful Dead, Phish, Widespreadpanic, Tedeschi Trucks Billy Strings, Marcus King, Goose live concerts (easier to use on an iPhone vs. going directly on LMA (+ WSP & Phish not available via LMA)).
