I had heard some rumors that Filson was toying with the idea of producing a line of camera bags… By no means am I an innovator, but I talked about this a while back. I currently use one of their Medium Field Bags with a Domke padded insert and it provides all the room I need.
From the Filson website: “Magnum photographers David Alan Harvey and Steve McCurry know that photography is about taking risks, getting close and being ready for anything. That’s why we worked with them to design photography bags for those who refuse to stay indoors. We combined the craftsmanship used to develop our rugged luggage with the decades-deep expertise of Harvey and McCurry to create durable camera bags built for use in the field, with weather-resistant fabric, an understated appearance to deter gear theft and modular padded dividers to keep items organized and accessible.”
Although I haven’t touched one of the bags from the Filson line, I am very familiar with their products. The Camera Field Bag (pictured above) looks great…and would be the direction I’d go.
What say you?
