Eye Candy: The Eddie Bauer Ford Bronco

One of my fraternity brothers had a 1994 Eddie Bauer Bronco.  It was hunter green with a tan top.  I absolutely loved that truck, and confirmed that he was the biggest idiot in the world when he traded it for an Explorer.  I’ve always had a thing for Broncos.  I love the old ones, but they are essentially unattainable these days, as the prices have skyrocketed.

So why not an early-90’s Eddie Bauer edition?  It’s a little bigger, tougher, and there’s plenty of room for any thing you need in the back.  Not to mention the top comes off, giving it an El Camino on steroids look…I love ’em.  Here are a few to wet your whistle.

    I’ve swung and miss on 2 gem’s

Owned a 90′ Waggoner White with Red Leather
96′ Bronco Blue with White roof.

Not knowing the future value if I kept them will always bother me.

They are gorgeous, can’t deny it. Sad to no longer have those or the 2-door Tahoes.

I have an 02 Tahoe I still drive. It has 210,000 miles on it. It’s nothing special in realty, but part of me doesn’t want to get rid of it because you see so many older SUV’s become hot commodities down the road that you thought were just nothing special at the time. Once the 07 Tahoe and Suburban hit the market, they lost the truck look with the monochromatic bumper. So maybe they will be kinda desirable in some way? I don’t know, still loving mine though.

The 80s Chevy/GMC Blazers/Jimmys are also awesome. My boss has a 89 GMC Jimmy that he let me drive around all the time in high school and an ex gf of mine had a 90s bronco the same specs as you described green with the tan roof and I loved it, but weirdly she hated it.

My first car was a 93 Bronco. Green Eddie Bauer that we called The Hulk. It was a very sad day when we had to cut it loose. In hindsight we should have never let it go.
