Boot Season – Reader Feedback

Team: It’s boot season.  As we all know, the boot spectrum is wide…what boots are you wearing this Fall?  Are you a Wolverine guy, like these 1000 Mile boots?  Are you a Tecovas guy?  Something different?  Let me know in the comments…

With the mild weather we get in NC I don’t wear many boots. For fair cool weather I ordered Taylor Stitch suede chukkas. When weather gets real bad I turn to my Bean Boots

I’ve got a few Lucchese’s but I’m looking to grab some Tecovas. For my weekend utility/work boot I like the Pecos. Not afraid to mess them up.

I rotate between Luccheses, Red Wing Iron Rangers, Bean Boots and Wallabees. Of course for hiking, camping, etc I rely on my Vasque boots.

I have been wearing Tecovas for the past few years. Best pair of boots I’ve ever owned/worn hands down. I own the Cartwright and Johnny versions. The break-in on the Johnny’s are much different than the Cartwright. Out of the box the Cartwrights were perfect and are more light-weight than the Johnny boots. The Johnny boots have taken a small period of break-in time for me. I have a pair of Justin Ranch boots I wear for more rugged needs (out in the woods, etc.) that are tougher and more appropriate for rugged needs.

Alden Indys…the most comfortable shoe or boot I’ve ever worn.

Love my Justin ropers for a night out, and my Red Wing Pecos for a hunt or around a football game. Personally, I’ve got my eyes on the Dubarry Kerry Boot this year.

My lineup: Alden Indy’s, Red Wing 1155s, Russell Moccasin Cavaliers, and when it’s still hot out AE Massdrop snuff suede unlined chukkas.

Lucchesse, Russell Chukka, Wolverine 1000 mile Chelsea, LL Beans are in the rotation for casual wear. Love the Double H work boots, Le Chameau rubber boots, Bean Maine hunting boots, and Chippewa snake boots for work/hunting.
