Billy Reid – Charleston (& for ‘Bama)

One of the stops in Charleston was to the Billy Reid store on King Street (right across from Ben Silver). What a pleasure to visit – the place lives up to the hype. I was the only one in the store, so I had free reign. Each of the three employees were impeccably dressed, and knew the product. There is something about shopping at a place where the staff is passionate about what they are selling – similar to the well-documented experience of visiting Sid Mashburn’s.

Here is what I liked:

(L-R)
a. Portfolio – Sharp
b. ‘Willie’ White Oxford Shirt – the contrasting stitching is really nice
c. K-Swiss x Billy Reid Venice Surf & Courts – the white ones have gotten all the press, but don’t count out the blue model.

I left the store empty handed, but am looking forward to seeing what they bring to the Swap Meet

By the way – Billy Reid released the limited edition ‘Rise’ shirt; all profits go to the Red Cross Tornado Disaster Relief Fund to help with the recovery efforts across the Southeast. If you haven’t gotten yours, please do so soon. They have mens and womens for $38 each.
