Big Gridiron Weekend

I don’t think there is a better Saturday to plant on the couch and stare at the tube.  There are some amazing games – get ready to wear out your thumb on the remote.  One near and dear is the annual Cocktail Party down in Jacksonville.  The Gators have been playing at their peak, and the Dawgs haven’t been playing to their talent level.  Now, this is one of those rivalry games where rankings don’t matter – the team that leaves it all on the field will come home with the win.

Beyond this one, there are quite a few other games (and the official Red Clay Soul picks):

Clockwise from Top Left:

Georgia vs. FloridaThe Dawgs wake up and beat the Gators 28-24
Texas Tech vs. Kansas State –  I wouldn’t want to play either team right now.  KSU wins in a 42-41 nail biter.
Oklahoma vs. Notre DameNotre Dame has been playing lights-out, but the Sooners are a different animal.  OU 21-17
Mississippi State vs. AlabamaBama is the best team in the country, but barely gets by the other Bulldogs 35-32

What say you?  You think you’ve got it?  Head over to State Traditions’ Week 9 Challenge and make your picks…

I think Florida leaves the Dawgs whimpering in Duval. Other than that spot on.
