Top of the Heap: Hil from Gentleman South

“When warmer weather rolls around I typically kick carrying a wallet and switch to a money clip.  It makes my short pockets a lot lighter and is something I’ve done for years.  The money clip I carry today is sterling silver and was made by S. Kirk and Sons with a filigree etching dating back to 1953.

My Grandmother recalls giving this to my Grandfather as his thirty-fifth birthday gift.  I’ve carried it every summer since it was given to me after my Grandfather’s passing in 2002.   Aside of being his, I like that after all of these years there were never initials engraved into the clip, meaning it can be passed down for generations to come.” – Hil Harper, 2012
