Good G_d! No decent man should ever wear a visor. Those things are the worst. They same type of person who wears those things wears jorts. They are in the worst taste.

I have to respectfully disagree with the Anonymous post, in hot weather on the golf course, there is no replacement.

Gotta agree with Dan…every gentleman's wardrobe should include a visor. Love the glen plaid.

I would also have to agree with the Anonymous post in that a visor is quite tacky. Why not wear a traditional gentleman's hat that would provide protection from the sun?

Personally, I prefer golf/beach/lake with a visor. It is much more weather-friendly in the Summer.

Anon/Hilton – what would you suggest as a 'gentleman's hat'?

No "gentleman" wears a visor. Not one ever has. They are for women tennis players.

A man who wears one looks like a clown/buffoon – especially if the hair pushes over the top.

Quite frankly, anything would be better than a visor, barring a baseball cap. I had a flat cap in mind, but realize it would be a bit uncomfortable in a warmer climate. Payne Stewart comes to mind:http://www.ozarksfairways.com/biography21.aspx

Visors are a staple for southern gentleman on the golf course. But only the throwback collegiate visors of the 70's. They are larger and are no way confused with the Jort wearers visor.

Only Payne Stewart could pull off the "Payne Stewart hat". Others are calling too much attention to themselves.

The Glen Plaid Visor is a great look for any season. Dixie Gentlemen is headed in the right direction with that style. No offense to anonymous in the first post but a visor is a classy look. Yes, there are visors out there that are trashy, but my friend just received the dixie glen plaid and it is nothing but quality and class. It can be dressed up or down.

If anyone else here agrees with me on this please feel free to comment

I'm a Southerner that would not wear the Chav visor. Those that do call attention to themselves while washing my car and cutting my grass.

I'm all for golf visors but in my opinion the plaid is a little over the top.

After looking at some of the other offerings from "Dixie Gentleman", I'd probably stay away from the entire brand.

PS: I finally sent that package, i apologize for the delay. I hope they fit.

    East of Oxford,

Have you seen any of the other visors from dixie? I just ordered a white one that is pretty simple.
