The Limited Heritage Capsule from Hudson Sutler

I’m very happy to announce the Heritage Line of waxed bags from our friends at Hudson Sutler.  You all know their bags – the classic silhouettes of duffels, briefcases, and a shave kit.  The heavy canvas works well, and the price points are very attractive.  They’ve done very well for themselves over the years, and keep moving the ball down the field.

The limited edition Heritage line is just what you’d expect: the heavy canvas, but WAXED.  They are offering the limited edition capsule line in three of their most popular styles: the Weekender, the Briefcase, and the Shave Kit.  Each are available in three colors: green, navy, and brown.  How great for this time of year?  A little protection from the elements.

As I mentioned, these are a limited edition, so head over to the Hudson Sutler website to get yours quick…here’s a little taste…

Good stuff, right?

These look nice; I especially like the shoe compartment on the Weekender bags–that is a pretty cool move. I think the price point is good too (a solid $150+ under a Filson bag). However, I feel like they dropped the ball with the shoulder strap. They would have looked MUCH better if they had been leather. I reckon that would have probably added a bit to the price, but I think it would have been worth it and made the product seem a bit more “premium.”ReplyCancel

Trip, thanks for the feedback on our new line.  Glad our goal to add some more functions (shoe compartment, padded laptop sleeve) are getting noticed all while being conscious of value related to cost!  Regarding the strap, we actually opted for the webbing since it’s more comfortable for the wearer.  Perhaps it’s just an issue of preference, but we found it to be that way.  The shoulder strap is detailed in leather, where it connects to the bag, but 100% I’ll keep some notes on adding a leather shoulder strap in the future.  Thanks again for the feedback!  -Grant Hewit, Hudson SutlerReplyCancel
