Jack Donnelly Clydes

A friendly head’s up: Our friends at Jack Donnelly have just released their newest addition to their khakis lineup: The Clydes.  Being that these are some GREAT business khakis, I had to give them a try…

I always opt for the slim fit, and treat JDs more like dress pants.  The Clydes are a little different: they are made with a bit of a canvas feel, which is actually just the weave of the cotton.  Gregg was super pumped about these, in that he added 2% stretch.  Personally I like them, and don’t think it detracts from the way the pants wear.  Otherwise, the pants are just what you’d expect from Jack Donnelly: traditional on-seam pockets, a more updated rise (not as deep as prior designs), and a GREAT slim cut.  Not skinny, but perfect with a ~2″ cuff and tassel loafers.  I get these bad boys back from the tailor this week, and we’ll be rocking.

The Clydes are available in the slim fit seen here, as well as the original fit and the hybrid fit.  Check ’em out…

Is your tailor just finishing off the bottoms?  Any other nip n’ tuck?

How’s the slim fit compare to Levi 501s or Sid’s jeans?

Rise looks rather low. What do you think?
