I think garnet & gold is really a great color combination. However, I’ve got a rugby shirt from J Crew from several years back that is really nice and is in these colors, but I literally cannot wear it without getting at least one comment about Harry Potter/Hogwarts. Garnet and gold is a great combination – but as a primary focus it just evokes too much Florida State or Southern Cal for me. I’m more partial to garnet… and black. June 5, 2011 - 6:51 PM
