I received the Holiday 2009 version of the Orvis ‘Gifts for Men’ catalog yesterday. Page 76 – a 1962 Land Rover series IIA 109 restored by Lanny Clark Rovers for $65,000 (according to the Orvis website, it has sold). For $65K, you get the fully restored Land Rover, a set of Orvis Bullhide club bags, a Helios mid-flex outfit, and Safe Package rod and reel case. I can’t make a case to Santa that I’ve been that good this year…
I’m not familiar with Lanny Clark’s shop, but I checked out his website – truly amazing.
