Well, I love sharing good news. Long time Red Clay Soul readers remember our love for the Lounger, and our call for their return. They came back, but as a lined version sans strap, but lookie here: LL Bean has come through:

The original Lounger Boot is one of the most recently requested styles in our Bean Boot line ever to be brought back from the archives. L.L.Bean recently introduced the boot in an insulated version, however, requests for the original non-insulated style with the buckle over the forefoot has continued to pour in from our customers. This actually made it an easy decision to bring it back. The new boot is modeled after the 1970 version, complete with the adjustable buckle detail for fit. And we are proud to be producing it here at our own factory in Brunswick, Maine. The boot is made using a premium oiled, supple leather that looks and feels amazing right out of the box and will just get better with age.
The boots will be available for purchase in mid-September…perfect for this Fall. Winner winner chicken dinner….
