In Hand: Sebago x Filson Knight Boots

RCS Facebook followers have seen these pop up recently – my Sebego x Filson Knight Boots arrived late last week.  They did not disappoint.  I have been looking for some casual boots for the weekend to substitute for Wallabees, and am pleased to report that I have found them.  These have way too much horsepower for simple weekend wear, but I’d rather have too much tread on the tires than too little.  The price was right – Just over $115 shipped (use code ANYCOUPONS).  I’m between a 9 and a 9.5 and ordered up – which was the right call.

Here’s what I like: they are extremely sturdy, but they aren’t bulky.  I prefer a sharper toe on boots – and these have it.  My assumption is that the toe will shrink even more as they become more broken in.  The leather is thick, and the Filson tin cloth is a nice touch – it lightens them up.  The leather foot bed is already comfortable, but should mold to my feet over time – like a good pair of boat shoes.  Add leather laces and mini-lug Vibram sole – all the right ingredients.

Welcome to the rotation…

Those are absolutely kick-ass. I just got my first ever Filson item in the mail Friday, the Mackinaw wool vest. Will be posting on it soon. Amazed by the quality. Let me knows how these wear in.
