State Traditions X RCS Picks: The College Football Playoffs

First and foremost, I’m a big fan of the college football playoff system.  It is the only way to prove an ultimate champion.  It takes the SEC ‘bias’ out of the equation.  I’d like to see an expansion to eight teams with NO conference championship tie-ins, and considering the amount of money each of these […]

Alabama just needs to hurry up and win the title so Kirby Smart can get back to Athens and finish the drill on what Richt couldn’t

I think that you are correct about a high scoring CU vs OU game, but I think the score will be reversed.

As much as I like MSU I think that it will be a blow out. I say Bama by at least 20.

Bama by 75

Cameron Nash - December 29, 2015 - 12:33 PM

I think the CU and OU game won’t be as close as you think, I think Baker Mayfield will have a career day and OU will win pretty decidedly 42-24. The Alabama MSU game though will be a lower scoring game that is a defensive struggle throughout but with Henry wearing down the MSU defense in the 4th quarter and then exploding one big run energizing Alabama. Bama takes it 24-14

GM - December 31, 2015 - 11:50 AM

“there are a lot of OU players on this team that beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl a couple years ago.” I assume there are even more from the team that lost to Clemson 40-6 last year?

Boxing Day Sales

Good morning, readers.  Sorry it’s been pretty sparse here on the blog, but we’ve been running at full speed for the past week or so.  Those of you that follow along on Instagram know that Mrs. RCS did a HUGE dinner on Christmas Eve which included 20 lbs. of prime rib.  We did Christmas with […]

Christmas Money: East Dane & Jeans

It’s weird, but we do all sorts of Christmas celebrations.  We start opening presents early, and keep going a few days after Christmas.  All sorts of family celebrations.  All my Christmas shopping is done, and now I’m looking forward to all the after-Christmas sales and how to take advantage. At work, we just changed our […]

Thank me later…..hands down the best jeans I’ve ever owned.

Quick Hitter: Daniel Wellington

I’m as much of a watch guy that my (and Mrs. RCS’s) wallet will allow.  I have a Panerai PAM112 and love it, but I also have a Seiko SKX009 that I have on a NATO strap, a Luminox 3501 BLACKOUT, and a vintage Omega Seamaster that I wear on more formal occasions.  I’ve got […]

DW is a great day to day with a very clean look. I have the rose gold case which is a nice change of pace. I like it for the golf course as well, it’s low profile doesnt get in the way or add extra weight and its a classy touch.

Star Wars

I don’t talk about this much, but I am a big Star Wars fan.  And yes, I’m going to see Episode 7 tonight.  To say I’m excited would be an understatement.  Let’s say I’m as excited as if these drawings were still available on Etsy. I’ll do a review over the weekend.  Anyone else going […]

Took my two boys last night and we loved it. I’m glad J.J. Abrams returned the franchise to its original form and style. I don’t want spoil anything for anyone but I liked how the movie had links and references to the original three movies for those like me who were kids when Star Wars came out in 1977. I also am grateful there aren’t any Ewok or Jar Jar like characters.
