I Went To The Woods Because I Wished To Live Deliberately – Orvis Trout Bum

I really enjoy working with such a great company like Orvis.  They are making huge strides in the #menswear arena, and remain a cut above when it comes to what they are known for: outdoors.  Their new Trout Bum line is out of this world…anyone who has seen the sections of their stores dedicated to […]

I just picked up the Zip Neck Casting Shirt from the new store by my work. Best decision ever. I can’t put it down, It’s so soft and the perfect fit. I am going to wear that thing out this summer and have to buy a new one soon!

Robin - April 30, 2015 - 11:41 AM

I like that each has a distinct message and theme, they are not just versions of the same ad.

What is your formal relationship with Orvis? I thought you were just a fan of their stuff.

The Custom Needlepoint Belt Option

The Smathers and Branson needlepoint belts are really works of art.  The designs are crisp, the colors are bright, and the leather backing is really nice for a $165 belt.  I love the look…I have a TON of (let’s call them) emblematic belts, but I’m being drawn to these S&B belts more than the others.  These […]

I don’t have many S&B belts but have a growing collection of their key fobs. USMC, and zip codes from Greenwich, CT and Spring Lake, NJ. My girlfriend has Boston College (alma mater), Martha’s Vineyard, and and American flag.

Love that Burning Tree belt. I drive past it every morning on my way to work.

BJH - April 27, 2015 - 11:52 AM

I NEED that Eat a Peach belt.

Daniel A. - April 27, 2015 - 12:12 PM

I don’t have any of their belts. I do have a custom wallet from them that a store in my college town had made. It’s pretty nice that they have some custom things for Troy since the belts probably aren’t an option.

BMOC - April 27, 2015 - 2:14 PM

No picture of them but I have two Hampden-Sydney custom S&B belts — one garnet with a grey HS and the other navy with the school crest and 1776 emblazoned on it.

Long live Elon! Great idea for college grad gifts.

Where’d you snag your grateful dead belt? fine swine? looks like the others you posted are different… darker khaki.

Ready To Rumble: Mullet Toss Weekend

Y’all ready to rock?  It’s Mullet Toss weekend in Orange Beach, AL.  Head on down to Flora-Bama and partake…  If you’ve never done it, it’s worth the trip.  What is Mullet Toss?  It’s simple, really: you throw a fish as far as you can.  If you’ve been before, you probably aren’t reading this, because you’re […]

The Social Primer Charleston Blazer Collection (Behind the Scenes)

My friend Cooper…what can I say.  I’ve been reading his blog Social Primer for as long as I can remember.  I met Cooper about three years ago right after he launched his bow tie collection with Brooks Brothers, and we became fast friends.  Cooper has a style all his own, but one that is not […]

This sounds like a good idea but I would argue they need better inventory management of current lines before starting a new one. This is a company known for bow ties. Unfortunately, they rarely have any for sale. Right now, they have literally one bow tie you can buy. The rest they display are all sold out. The cache of exclusivity is nice but it rarely generates dollars for small businesses. it is hard to get excited about a new Kickstarter campaign when I need to see better proof of their ability to control what they already do. The jackets look great but so do the bow ties. Too bad a picture is as close as I can get.

$285K? I’ll take two please!

JBG - April 22, 2015 - 2:55 PM

Buy it, you’ll love it! 285k is crazy so maybe just buy a new 2015 Supercharged regular wheelbase (if you aren’t riding back there who cares about legroom?) spec’d with Aintree Green Paint and Espresso/Almond interior with shadow walnut trim and all of the options you can get for about 120k. A very close second place.

JNN - April 22, 2015 - 8:43 PM

I own a Holland & Holland porcelain coffee mug from their NYC showroom. Everything else was a bit… out of my reach shall we say 🙂
