You have great taste in visors. I have expanded my own collection based on some of your recommendations. Looking forward to getting out of the office this PM. My Bubba PING visor is waiting for me in the car right next to my clubs.

You should check out Olly Oxen, just purchased one of there visors from the people over at Five Mile Club and I have to say I’ve been pleased. They are along the lines of State and Volunteer Traditions in that they do a lot of state embroidered college color schemes.

His/Her Look: Summer Date Night – Jacket Required

So you’ve got a date this weekend.  Your taking your main squeeze out for a nice night, just the two of you.  Let’s call it a ‘jacket required’ type of night.  Not necessarily a formal occasion, but the type of night when sporting a nice jacket isn’t out of place. Drinks at 7, and supper at 8. […]

This video’s only real competition for “quintessential 80s music video” is “Money for Nothing” by the Dire Straits.

tim - June 21, 2013 - 10:44 AM

That song and video are great and the whole album is a gem. I dusted it off recently and have been enjoying the hell out of it.

The original Will Farrell

My father’s name is Al. He used to wake us up on Saturday mornings cranking this over the theater system. I love this song.

Pack - June 22, 2013 - 11:49 AM

This changed everything.

Josh - June 23, 2013 - 10:34 AM

This is my favorite album of all time. So many great memories. I got to see Paul Simon a couple of years ago and he played every song on the album. It was wonderful.

RCS Likes: The Sid Mashburn Garment Dyed Sport Coat

I wear a sportcoat quite a bit.  Whether its at the office, out in social settings, or to church, it has become habit to bring one with me.  They are a utility coat for me – holding my phone, keys, girlfriend stuff, and almost anything else I don’t want to carry in my pants pockets. […]

Read both books a few years ago as being in the financial industry. Great read and can not wait to see the movie. If you ever want to read them, let me know.

Skip - June 18, 2013 - 11:27 AM

Not a bad idea. The movie looks great!

BMO'C - June 18, 2013 - 12:29 PM

Trailer leads me to believe this is going to be a GREAT movie.

Best quote I’ve seen regarding it thus far, “Is it possible to be sexually attrated to a movie trailer?”.

That said, as a member of the finance community I don’t always like these types of movies since they paint us all with a pretty broad brush. But this movie’s plot line is so far-fetched and the protagonist such a maniac that everyone will see it for what it is – pure Summertime entertainment.

The 2013 College World Series

The 2013 College World Series started on Saturday.  I would rank the College World Series up there with any of the BCS games or the March Madness tournament in terms of excitement.  The double elimination tournament is outstanding – metal bats, sweat stained hats, and rabid fans.  Teams that won regional tournaments, then super-regional tournaments […]

Mom on the Run - June 18, 2013 - 8:41 PM

Being from Nebraska, the CWS is a great event. I’m so old I remember flirting with a Texas player by the name of Roger Clemens back when I was a college student. And now a boy who played on our 7 yr old all star team with my son and husband coaching is a shortstop on one of the teams in the CWS. Love it.
