The New Traditionalists

The Internets is a great place.  I recently came across custom furniture maker The New Traditionalists, and was blown away.  While I’m not a big interior design guy, I do appreciate fine work, and I knew it as soon as I clicked through their site.  After exchanging a few emails, manager Scott Procops offered some […]

Have a feeling you would appreciate furniture makers BDDW as well. Similar design aesthetic and handmade in the U.S. Their wooden nixie grandfather clock has been on my wishlist for a while

Seeing Green

I don’t know.  Call it Masters fever.  Call it ‘happy to see leaves on the trees’.  Whatever.  I’m seeing green…and lots of it: 1. Criquet Players Shirt in ‘Augusta Green’ 2. State Traditions Louisiana New Orleans Gameday Hat 3. Chester Mox Bi-fold Wallet 4. Cotton Brothers Green Gingham Buttondown Shirt 5. New Balance Green 998s […]

I love those Criquet shirts. I bought a couple and they are the most comfortable shirts I own and have replaced my t-shirts for casual weekend wear. I hope they start introducing some new colors.

…and that was a sweet run-on sentence.

Spring Baseball Game Date Night

So you’ve got a date.  A good date.  You like this girl…and you scored some tickets to a Braves game.  Since this is a date, don’t break out the cornhole and start shotgunning beers on your lunch break to prepare.  This is a date.  Do it right: 1. 1908 Boston Braves Hat:  Braves, but especially a […]

any clue how the sizing on the SoPro shorts runs? Their PC shorts were cut ridiuclously small in the waste.

JohnM - April 22, 2013 - 1:33 PM

Flip-flops? Clearly you have a bladder the size of the Hindenberg or the Braves have much, much, much cleaner facilities and more considerate fans than any other team in the majors. Cause there ain’t no way I’m using a public toilet at a ballpark in flip flops.

kipper - April 24, 2013 - 10:49 AM

Yeah, flip flops at a Braves game, or any public urban space – so very much wrong with that…

Dockers Alpha Khakis

Admittedly, the last time I wore a pair of Dockers was for the Team No Break shoot we did a few years ago.  I am very aware of their brand, and quite frankly, they have one of the best social media campaigns out there.  Dockers knows how to market their products via all the right […]

If I die never having tried on, much less, owned a pair of Dockers I will die knowing that I have led a life well lived.

2 things: they are cut very slim, I needed to size up in the waist. And the camo ones are great.

Ryan - April 25, 2013 - 1:12 PM

Another one of those things that I always stared at, and wondered about, but never tried on. I’ll have to give them a second look.

Do you have any good coupon codes?

Cory - July 9, 2013 - 6:23 PM

If you want coupon codes, sign up for Dockers emails on the us.dockers.com website. You’ll receive regular discount offers that are sometimes better than the employee discount. (I’m an employee of the parent company, Levi Strauss & Co.)

Spring at Billy Reid in Atlanta

Billy Reid’s store in Atlanta is one of my favorite places.  Not only are the clothes simply outstanding, but the staff is as nice as it gets, and the aestetics of the store are spot on.  It’s a really cool place to be.  They invited me to come snap a few photographs during their spring […]

Playing Augusta National

So how about The Masters?  Adam Scott’s playoff win was one for the ages.  Congrats to the Aussie on his first major.  With a swing like that, it’s hard to believe he won’t have a few more.  Speaking of the Masters, my good friend TJ from Onward Reserve had the rare opportunity to play at […]

Brad Evans - April 15, 2013 - 9:22 AM

Now that is a great story…love reading that kind of stuff.

Clay - April 16, 2013 - 11:17 AM

That story is AWESOME. I just got back from a practice round this week – my first trip to Augusta. It was everything you would expect and more. The level of detail goes all the way down to the perfect amount of pimento cheese on the sandwich. Nothing is left to chance.

What a great tournament this year as well! Sunday was one of the best displays of sport I’ve ever seen on TV in less than ideal conditions (rain). Cabrera’s sportsmanship and the shot making in the playoff fit the venue perfectly.

Adam - April 17, 2013 - 10:26 AM

Great story. It’s on my bucket list just to go to the Masters, I cant imagine playing the course. Would be a dream come true. When people ask me what course I could play if I could play any course, before they even finish their question, I say Augusta.
