Y’all Have Fun – The Carolina Cup

Unfortunately, I won’t be at The Carolina Cup this year.  Y’all have a good time – hopefully as good a time as my folks (above) did in 1968…

I didn’t know Instagram existed in 1968!

I love this!!!!! What a great couple! And dang if you don’t look exactly like your dad in that picture! I hope you’ve got this framed somewhere.

Those shoes should have won the cup. Epic.

First 45 rpm I ever bought. 1975, I was eleven and didn’t know you could “buy” music until i heard this song on the radio and had to hear it again. Fell down the rabbit hole then I did.

The Filson Tin Cloth Backpack

Admittedly, I haven’t carried a backpack since high school.  I understand their functionality, but they never really worked for my day-to-day environment.  I get it, though. Over the last couple of years, our peripherals have gotten smaller.  What used to be huge Dell laptops have turned into Macbook Airs and iPads.  Spiral notebooks have turned into Moleskines […]

I like the functionality, but the style leaves something to be desired. I prefer the look of a Duluth Pack, or Frost River, and this coming from a devout Filson fan.

I regularly agree with your reviews and occasionally even make decisions on your recommendations, but I have to respectfully disagree on this one. In my totally biased and uneducated opinion, backpacks are for little kids and people going camping. I am sure there are other applications but I just wouldn’t see myself spending Filson money on a Filson backpack.

I love Filson, but this backpack is feminine.

My brother carries a Filson and it looks better every time I see it. I like the new iPad case!

kps - May 8, 2013 - 2:32 PM

just ordered this backpack in black for a trip abroad. doesn’t strike me as particularly feminine, but doesn’t matter either way to me (being female). like the separate iPad case and the option of reaching in to the side of the bag for my camera. hope it travels as well as i’m wanting it to travel. 😉

The Look | Early Spring Cocktail Hour

Ahh…cocktail hour.  On most days it can’t come soon enough.  Since most cocktail hour outings aren’t planned until about an hour beforehand, dressing accordingly can be tricky, but dressing well isn’t.  You know how to do it.  This time of year, layer accordingly as the temperature might drop enough to warrant a jacket for that […]
