Joe Namath Style

Joe Namath was the first pick by the New York Jets in the 1965 American Football League draft .  Take the western Pennsylvania native out of ’60s Tuscaloosa and put him smack in the middle of New York City…  “Broadway” Joe made a name for himself when he guaranteed a win over the Indianapolis Colts […]

You got the score of the Super Bowl right but Joe Namath never ever played against the Indianapolis Colts.

these pictures gave me some inspirations nicely. thanks for sharing them!

Super Bowl Style

Admittedly, I am 99% anti-jersey (except for one, and only one).  I don’t have a problem with other folks wearing them, or owning them, but they just aren’t for me.  I don’t know why, it’s just not my style.  I prefer to be a little more subtle in my fan-dom, opting for the team color […]

It might be a little warm for the jacket or the sweater.

Double Monks in or around Bourbon St? Those shoes would be ruined quicker than you can get an order of cheese fries at F&M’s.

The third Gen Corvette is undoubtedly the sexiest shape of any sports car ever. Only the old XKE Jag comes close.

Filson X Sebago – New Stuff

I’m a complete sucker for Filson.  I started using a 257 years ago, and that was the gateway to my current collection (more on that later).  Sebago and Filson have been collaborating for quite some time, first releasing the Knight boots.  I snagged a pair, and have worn them quite a bit.  Lightweight, good with […]

Wow. That Cruiser Coat.

Wrist Action for the Winter

I do like the watch straps from Smart Turnout.  I have quite a few, and recently added a couple more to the collection.  I focused on the darker straps that would go with the colder weather. Since matching these straps to an outfit is a sin, I like the fact that the (mostly) primary colors […]

I love wearing similar straps with my watches, including a 1953 Seamaster. I also love the look of Smart Turnout’s products, but the shipping charges kill me. Have you found somewhere local to the Atlanta area to purchase them?

JRS - January 23, 2013 - 10:00 AM

Yep – Sid Mashburn carries quite a few Smart Turnout straps.

I love these watch straps, but they’re typically for more of a dress down / casual look, which doesn’t really necessitate the expensive watches Smart Turnout sells with them (although I’m sure they’re nice).

I recommend picking up a cheap Timex off Amazon. I snagged this one and it works perfectly with my Smart Turnout straps:

Unionmade Goods Shopping

Unionmade Goods is by far one of the coolest parts of the Internet.  The goods they carry are some of the best brands around, but what sets them apart is their presentation.  The images do an excellent job of showcasing each piece, and the descriptions answer almost every question.  They actually have stores in California (San Francisco […]
