Mom on the Run - April 20, 2010 - 1:31 AM

I got my dad the three movie set (of course the sequels are not nearly as good as the original, but he doesn't care). No birthday gift can ever be topped now.

Great movie filmed in Fayetteville and Jonesboro.

The Mall

I had to get a new battery for my Swiss Army Renegade, so I stopped by the mall yesterday during lunch. The watch is really beat up, but I love it. It has traveled quite a few miles, but has many more to go. I decided to walk around the mall while I was waiting. […]

Chik-Fil-A is always the best thing to buy when hitting the mall. I hope you got that signature sauce…

I've got that Collegiate Green strap… it looks great!

I just stumbled across your blog and I've really enjoyed reading it. I was wondering what your thoughts were concerning the Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit Shirt. I am a pretty slim build (6'1, 180 lbs) yet tend to eschew the trendy "extra slim" cut scene but I found that the Extra Slim in the sport shirt fit quite well (almost identical to a Slim Fit dress shirt). I imagine the Extra Slim in the dress shirt would in fact be a little too tight.

So, what are your thoughts? Have you bought an extra slim shirt yet?

Thanks, JRS

L.A.S – You know it…

Paul – I do like the strap – it's been getting a lot of use this Summer.

Anon – My experience is that a dress shirt should fit, but not look 'painted on'. I have only tried on the Extra Slim Fit Shirt, and thought it was too tight. My preference from BB is the regular Slim Fit (preferably must-iron).

Song for the Weekend – This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)

Two reasons for posting this: 1. I’m a huge Talking Heads fan. In my opinion, this is their best song. The first time I heard it was when I saw “Real Genius” in 1986 in my friends basement. It’s been a favorite of mine ever since. The song and the movie. 2. A little encouragement […]

Nice. That's one of my favorite songs and one of my favorite movies. Genius of Love also kills it live.

I like East of Oxford… I loved seeing a fellow Ole Miss Rebel in the blogosphere!

Laguna Beach Trad - April 16, 2010 - 11:22 PM

Probably my favourite Talking Heads song as well, though I do like Crosseyed…. It's such a sweet tune. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the songs on SIT, IMO.

Heritage & the Plaid Jacket

It’s Heritage Weekend in Hilton Head. Great golf tournament on a beautiful course – the field is great even though it’s the week after the Masters. I’ve been to Hilton Head, but never attended this tournament – which is on my Bucket List. One of the best things about this tournament is that winner is […]

RCS Likes: Masters Week

This is my favorite week of the year. I like watching the Masters over almost any other sporting event. The course and grounds are immaculate. (Most) of the patrons take watching the event very seriously – we consider ourselves pseudo-marshals. Eating pimento cheese sandwiches. Some Masters highlights: (clockwise starting at the top left) 1. The […]

Totally of topic but…
I recently purchased a pair of Weejuns and was wondering whether or not to add pennies. I'm asking a few of my favorite bloggers about their opinions and will post them on my blog.
1) Penny or No Penny?
2) Why?

Thanks in advance.
